Biography
In 2012, I completed the Master of Architecture program at The University of Adelaide. I am captivated by practical and surprising, intelligent design and I have a keen interest in how social justice meets architecture in Australia and beyond. I was born in Victor Harbor, South Australia, and I have been fascinated by construction and design since my carpenter father built the family home when I was young.

I am passionate about communities embracing their habitat. I was particularly inspired by the local people of Vanuatu on an overseas trip which saw me fortunate enough to assist in the design and construction of a timber classroom. My interest in enhancing local ownership and concern for community is encompassed in my design approach.

With much collaboration and through the communication skills which I have built over the past ten years of part-time employment, I observed the construction of my first built project - a residence in Victor Harbor which I designed during my fourth year of university study.

I hope to enhance both public and private spaces in South Australia, with the desire of developing participatory communities of which architecture has a formative role. In the future, after solidifying a level of experience and expertise in residential, commercial, and institutional pursuits, I wish to become involved with humanitarian organisations and explore emergency architecture. My interest in travel, photography and sport all assist in the richness of my active, community-driven design methodology.
